Julia ‘Juulz’ Driessen is a Dutch pianist, organist, keyboard player and songwriter. She makes rock/blues music, inspired by Jon Lord (Deep Purple), Gregg Rolie (Santana), Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones), Herman Brood and Freddy Mercury (Queen).

Juulz started her musical career during high school, playing in several blues, rock and funk cover bands. When she started her study Medicine in 2015, she continued with music just like before. During the first year of her study, she became part of the Dutch rock band Uncle Jimmy. With this band, she played approximately 50 shows a year, often crossing the borders to Germany. In 2017 they released an EP, Moon Child, and in 2018 a single, Optical Illusion, (available on Spotify). They did shows on Culemborg Blues, Amsterdam Kookt, Countdown café Radio Veronica, Nispen Blues, Dicky Woodstock pop festival, Popweekend Schagen, and Vollmershain Open Air (DE).

Juulz also worked with: Tim Ries (The Rolling Stones), Lachy Doley, Piano Man Band, Avi Rosenfeld, Moondaze, Tragacanth and Blues Dog. In 2017, she did a demo for Hammond Europe at Musikmesse in Frankfurt (DE).

She is now working on an album with the new bluesrock duo Juulz&Sharina and is doing session work for several bands/projects.
